This guy just never stops smiling! ~Glad Cow~ is a 24″ tall wall hanging, and stands as testament to the durability of our pieces. This fellow has spent a total of 5 years hanging around outdoors and has weathered little.

This piece is an actual “life” mask of Karen. The process of sitting for the mask is less than one half hour of the subjects time. The rest happens in studio. The results are quite realistic and provide a lasting keepsake.

~Skull with Two Cicadas, features a handpainted plaster skull accompanied by two cicadas, mounted on solid wood with a corrugated tin roof surround in a solid wood perimeter frame.  This framed piece is 11-1/2″W x 12-1/2″H x 2-1/2″D. All tin and wood components  are reused / recycled / and or found materials.

Sun King mask on Guatemalan textile brocade. Mounted on solid wood backboard in 19-1/2″W x 21-1/2″H solid wood frame.  Framed finished in acrylics.   All fabric and wood  are reused/recycled/found materials.

This lightweight and comfortable partial masque was custom fit for Karen and painted by her to a very durable pearlescent finish with acrylics, and final coated with a water resistant top coat.
We will happily create a custom designed and fitted masque for you based on your idea or vision. A custom fit partial mask, complete to the level of ~Pearl, is modestly priced at $120.00. We will take your masque to any level you desire. We can create the form and complete the shaping and acrylicizing, at which point you can take over and finish yourself, or even have your favorite artist paint for you. Ready to paint and decorate, your custom partial masque will cost $80.00.
These masques are very durable and with any reasonable care will last a lifetime of functional use. Order a group for an event whether social or arts. Consider the keepsake value of family masque portraiture, and give us a call. We show work and accept commissions by appointment in our private gallery. We create the basic custom masque shell at our place or yours, by appointment as well.

~David’s Color’s is a non-wearable ~Life masque designed as a wall hanging piece. It’s construction is simple and straightforward, providing an uncomplicated 3-D canvas requiring a 30 minute sitting, in this case painted by the ever talented and creative Andra Haynes.  Andra is a graduate of the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, and completed 2 years at The Art Academy as well.

A custom mask created for you, friend or family member and ready for painting costs from $80.00 – $100.00 and comes completely primed, sanded, and sealed, ready to be painted by your artist or ours! A mask like this is ideal for  framed presentation as well, and combining the framing with keepsakes and memory makers  even further personalizes the piece.
